Corbel Stone Press - Liminology

Corbel Stone Press - Liminology

The announcement of any work from Richard Skelton or associated projects (Clouwbeck, A Broken Consort, Carousell, Autumn Grieve, Rift Music...) comes with some considerable excitement. His collaboration with Autumn Richardson produced the wonderful Type Recordings released Wolf Notes, and now a unique written work with accompanying CD - Liminology.

Limnology is a book about rivers, lakes and other inland waterways, comprising a sequence of word-lists, text rivers and myth-poems that explore the rich corpus of water words found in English, the dialect of Cumberland, Icelandic, Anglo-Saxon, Gaelic, Irish, Manx, Welsh and Proto-Celtic.

This 86-page, Royal 8vo book is printed on 135gsm uncoated paper throughout, and is perfect bound with a beautiful, 300gsm uncoated card cover.

Limnology is accompanied by a CD containing a new piece of river music - a single composition that has gradually accrued volume and pace over the past six years, swelling to nearly 30 minutes of vivid, and sometimes violent, intensity. The book and accompanying CD are available in an edition of 500 copies, priced at £14.99 (plus postage / packaging).

A special Art Edition of Limnology is also available, comprising:

- A silkscreened A3 text work printed on 280gsm recycled paper
- Four A4 text works printed on 350gsm watercolour paper
- "Rill", a handsewn poetry pamphlet
- An A6 "Rill" postcard

Presented in a protective A3 portfolio, the Art Edition is limited to 50 individually numbered and signed multiples, priced at £150 (plus postage / packaging). Both editions of Limnology will be launched at the RGAP Small Publishers' Fair in London, on November 16th, but are available to pre-order now.
