Best of the Week - 07-07-2012

After a one week break for SEQUENCE4 (42 tracks is enough to be getting on with right?) the Best of series returns with a diverse selection of sounds. I don't try too hard to pick or arrange tracks which will work together, and yet sometimes they seem to share a presence or emotional intent - this week feels like that. Whilst they vary in 'genre' the thread or line that runs through them is similar.

It goes without saying that I love each track I've selected here - but I will point out a few. It's always refreshing when you get sent a track via Soundcloud and the artist's entire stream impresses - Tiny Leaves sent me 'A Moment to Dream' - do checkout the rest of his work. Waking up to Radere's Never, Ever (Loopstructure) earlier this week seemed to make the day go a bit smoother - Carl does drenches of worn ambient sounds very well! Premonition from Logreybeam's seminal album 'It's All Just Another Aspect Of Mannerism' - an early Type Records release - was one of the albums that really turned me on to electronic music.
