An eclectic selection this week from the cloud; ranging from pure ambient, through haunting piano, experimental electronics, dark drones and blends of acoustic instrumentation.
A Strangely Isolated Place continues its growing catalogue at a blistering pace with a wonderful piece by Nobuto Suda. The Moon Ate the Dark album on Sonic Pieces is an immediate classic, Anna Rose Carter's piano playing continues to leave its sonic mark with added layers and dimensions in this duo. ISAN re-surface with another intriguing track - its about a goose - what more do you need to know! I'm excited by the sounds and illustrative/collage artwork of the Gideon Wolf release coming very soon on Fluid Audio.
Jeff Stonehouse gives us a dark macro-lense drone in his Listening Mirror guise, followed by an almost lost Field Rotation gem from 2009. NonProjects label boss Anenon, Ghostly released Willits + Sakamoto, brilliant noise from Mike Shiflet, and the return of The Cinematic Orchestra on Ninjatune complete the picture.
