Out Now & Coming Soon - January

Out Now & Coming Soon is a new feature I'm going to run, probably once a month or so, rounding up releases just out, and er, coming soon... 2012 has had a strong start already with my inbox being flooded with a continuous stream of great music - some have become instant favourites already. Hopefully this helps you navigate through the endless wash of new releases, and you find new artists or releases to fall in love with.

A-Sun Amissa - Gizeh Records
A very exciting release, Desperate in Her Heavy Sleep is drone noise goodness coming late March from the label that brought us Farewell Poetry last year (which seemed to be on just about everyone's end of the year lists). The art work for this release is looking equally enticing, and compliments the music brilliantly. Mastered by Lawrence English.

Seth Chrisman - Flaming Pines
New Mexico based sound artist Seth Chrisman is proving to have a very productive start to the year already. This new release is on Australian label Flaming Pines is out 23rd Jan.

Windy and Carl - Kranky
Ambient masterclass on the always brilliant Kranky lands 30th Jan.

Listening Mirror - Hibernate
Jeff Stonehouse continues his prolific output with a full album on Hibernate Recordings. Due February

Under The Spire are currently taking preorders for their Concessionaire full length release

RareBit - NonProjects
Out at the end of February is the full length from Justin Hopkin's RareBit project on NonProjects, his EP of last year was a real highlight, and this promises the same abstract electronic-instrumental mashup that he does so well.

Leila - Warp
Like Weather by Leila was something of a classic, deep soul infused collage work from the mysterious Warp Records signing. Her new full length must be worth checking out.

Pleq/Lauki - Chemical Tapes
Wonderful design/art on Chemical Tapes continues with a Pleq and Lauki collab. Out very soon

Olafur Arnalds - Erased tapes
The ever talented Olafur Arnalds continues a set of strong release with his first soundtrack - for film 'Another Happy Day' directed by Sam Levinson

Shigeto - Ghostly International
Quite a more laid back affair than his full length Full Circle from Shigeto on this upcoming mini-album on Ghostly International - Lineage - out 31st Jan

From the Mouth of the Sun - Experimedia
Aaron Martin and Dag Rosenquist's collaboration as From the Mouth of the Sun has produced the beautiful album that is Woven Tide - out end of Jan on Experimedia

Great stuff coming from Long Division with Remainders LDWR on Front and Follow

Kyle Bobby Dunn - Low Point
Out later this year on Nottingham based label Low Point is a 2CD work from classical ambient artist Kyle Bobby Dunn. Details are unconfirmed as yet but this track will be on it.

Celer - Somehow Recordings
Looking forward to this Celer piece on the ever strengthening , release date TBC
